Feeding on the Word

The following plan is just a guide. It is my own personal reading plan. In this plan there will be a cycle of reading Psalms, Proverbs and the book of Revelation. I mark it by days but hey it's no biggie if you miss a day. Just pick it up the next day or whenever. The important thing is you make time to get it into you. You wouldn't miss feeding yourself and having all your meals, so don't starve your spirit. A good thing to do is have a notebook close by or a highlighter and make notes of what God shows you as you are reading and on those tough days you have something to encourage you.

If you have a mobile/cell phone with android apps on a good app is "Bible. Is" to download . There is a great audio bible on it.

Also another great resource I use is www.biblegateway.com and http://dictionary.reference.com/ ( you can also download the dictionary app on your phone). These are handy for interesting words God might highlight as your reading. You can find out the meaning of the word and also plug it into the search box on biblegateway and see what other scriptures it leads you to which will strengthen you.

Finally reading/listening/studying the Bible should be enjoyable. Look at it as spending time with your best friend that you wouldn't miss for quids :)
